Introduction

This function displays a record from a database file. Key_screen This screen allows you to enter the key of the record that you wish to display. To display a record, you must first enter the 'key' fields to identify the record you want. The function will then look for your record, and either display it, or tell you that it cannot find it. If the function already knows the key of the record you wish to display, it will automatically skip the key screen, and display the record directly.

Function Keys

F3=Exit.

Exit the current task. In most cases this will return you to a high level function without displaying all displays encountered in getting to this point.

F4=Prompt.

Display a list of values available to be used in the related field. Place your cursor on the field for which you would like to see a list and press the F4 key.

F5=Reset.

Refreshes the display. In most cases the display will be refreshed to the original values and any keyed information typed after the last enter key will be lost.

HELP=Help.

Display help text for the associated function. Help text for individual fields can be displayed by placing the cursor on the field and then pressing the Help key. Functional help text can be displayed by placing the cursor on the display title line and pressing the Help key.

		A unique code assigned by the user and used to identify a Vendor.

	Vendor Item Number	Display only
		The Vendor's Item Number for the inventory item.

	Product Code	Display only
		A unique code assigned by the user identifying an inventory item.

	Vendor Price	Display only
		The unit price for an SKU quantity. @LIST 2 = Positive

	Vendor Price Keyed/Deriv	Display only
		Indicates whether you will key this price or have the system derive it from another price. If you choose to have it derived, indicate in the "derived from" field which price you want it derived from.
		D = Derived
		K = Keyed

	Price 1	Display only
		First reference price for this item. @LIST 2 = Positive

	Item Price 1 Keyed/Deriv	Display only
		Indicates whether you will key this price or have the system derive it from another price. If you choose to have it derived, indicate in the "derived from" field which price you want it derived from.

		The Vendor Core Price for the item. The Core Price is used on rebuildable items such as engines, generators, etc. The Core Price is usually refunded when the used item is returned. @LIST 2 = Positive

		Indicates whether you will key this price or have the system derive it from another price. If you choose to have it derived, indicate in the "derived from" field which price you want it derived from.
		D = Derived
		K = Keyed

	Dummy Price	Display only
		Price field to be used for deriving other prices. This price is discarded after use. @LIST 2 = Positive

	Dummy Price Keyed	Display only
		Dummy price is used for deriving other prices. This price can be keyed and referenced for updating other prices; then it is discarded.
		D = Derived
		K = Keyed

	Item Price Class . . :	Display only
		An item price class entered here will override the price class entry for the price change segment.

	Quantity	Display only
		The quantity for which this price applies. If we purchase this quantity or more, we pay this price. @LIST 2 = Positive

	SKU	Display only
		The Vendor's stock keeping unit.
