Introduction

This function displays a record from a database file. Key_screen This screen allows you to enter the key of the record that you wish to display. To display a record, you must first enter the 'key' fields to identify the record you want. The function will then look for your record, and either display it, or tell you that it cannot find it. If the function already knows the key of the record you wish to display, it will automatically skip the key screen, and display the record directly.

Display related help display. By positioning the cursor at a field on the display and pressing help, help narrative will be displayed for that field. By placing the cursor on the title for the display, help narrative related to the entire function will be displayed. Once the any help narrative is displayed you may then enlarge the display by using the F20 key or you may display expanded help narrative by using the F2 key.

F3=Exit.

Exit the current task. In most cases this will return you to a high level function without displaying all displays encountered in getting to this point.

F4=Prompt.

Display a list of values available to be used in the related field. Place your cursor on the field for which you would like to see a list and press the F4 key.

F5=Reset.

Refreshes the display. In most cases the display will be refreshed to the original values and any keyed information typed after the last enter key will be lost.

Maximum Quantity

The maximum quantity of a Product to be inventoried at a Facility. If a quantity is entered, then the system will use it when calculating the quantity to order. If no quantity is entered, then the system will calculate the maximum quantity.

Buffer Quantity

Display only
The quantity to be used as the buffer to cover variances in expected demand. If a quantity is not entered, the system will calculate the quantity.

Cost to Process

Display only
The cost to process an order into inventory. This value will over-ride the company value for Cost to Process.

Primary Bin Min

Display only
The minimum quantity that should be stored in the Primary bin for the Product.

Max

Display only
The maximum quantity of product to be stored in the primary bin.

Tgt Service Lvl

Display only
The service level desired for the Product at the Facility. This value will override the value in the Company Value.

History Periods

Display only
The number of periods of history to maintain for the product. This value will override the Company Value only when it is greater than the Company value.

Seasonal Index

Display only
A code assigned by the user identifying a Seasonal Index.

Generate Season

Display only
A code indicating when and if the system should generate a seasonal index for a Product. If "C" (calculate) is entered along with a seasonal index, the system will use the entered seasonal index until there are two years of demand history. It will then begin calculating the season index. If "C" is entered without seasonal index, then only trend is used to forecast requirments.
   C = Calculate Seasonal Index
   S = Use Seasonal Index
